Joseph Valle, CEO of The Valle Group, has been named chairman of the Falmouth Academy board of trustees for the 2017-2018 school year, according to a news release. The outgoing board chairwoman, Beth Colt, a Woods Hole innkeeper and restaurateur, will stay on to serve as vice chairwoman.
Other additions to the board this year include Robert Munier, vice president of marine facilities and operations at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and Linda Boardman, president of Branch Brooks Holdings LLC, according to the statement. The trustees are responsible for the overall governance of the school and hiring and overseeing a head of school, a position now filled on an interim basis by J. Robinson Wells, a faculty member and the school’s director of athletics.
