The Valle Group, Inc, a family-owned construction company in East Falmouth, MA is looking for a versatile Assistant Accountant familiar with standard accounting practices. They will collaborate with Director of Finance on all company activity including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, forecasting, and job profitability analysis. This is not a bookkeeping position. Candidate must be flexible and able to contribute in any areas needed to maintain smooth operation of the office.
Candidate must be detail oriented, highly organized and very experienced with Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop, MS Excel and Outlook. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills. Ability to program Excel spreadsheets a must.

– Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles
– Proficient in Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop
– Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
– Familiarity with tax preparation and filing processes
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Basic knowledge of the construction industry is a plus
