Carter Benedict

Assistant Site Supervisor

Carter came with his family to the Cape when he was five years old and has lived here ever since. (Aside from a year he spent working on a horse ranch in Wyoming after graduating from Falmouth High School.)

With a love of nature, people and plants, and also extensive experience in retail management, Carter built a career in the landscaping and nursery industry prior to coming to work for The Valle Group. Starting out with a local botanical and fine gardening company, he later moved into nursery management and marketing.  Eventually, he assumed a management position at a larger nursery where he was responsible for raising a wide variety of plants, trees and flowers to be brought to the wholesale and homeowner markets.

As an Assistant Site Supervisor for The Valle Group, Carter plays a key role in supporting construction site operations and personnel on a daily basis. (He’s also our resident “green thumb” responsible for the creative design and maintenance of our office flower beds!)

In his free time (while finishing up his degree at Cape Cod Community College), Carter enjoys nature walks, spending time on the beautiful beaches of Cape Cod and getting away to the mountains of Vermont whenever the opportunity presents itself.
