Awards Keep Coming for Valle Group Team
FALMOUTH MA- Family-owned custom home builder, The Valle Group has taken home a number of awards this year from leading industry organizations, the Cape Cod community and beyond. The accolades were bestowed on the Falmouth based builder in recognition of the company’s excellence in home construction, the achievements of their staff, and their work in both sustainable building and affordable housing.
Founded in 1997 by Falmouth residents, Joseph and Joan Valle, The Valle Group has won its share of awards over the past 27 years, but the recognition it has been receiving lately from local, regional and even national entities is unprecedented for the company and its 28 employees.
According to President Christian Valle, the recent awards and recognition began in 2022 when the company was named ‘Builder of The Year’ by Home Builders and Remodelers’ Association of Cape Cod (HBRACC). “This is a rather prestigious award in and of itself. It’s similar to a lifetime achievement award for the Cape Cod Home Building industry. It’s typically awarded to those builders who have consistently gone above and beyond not only in terms of their construction work but also in their commitment to improving the community. Our team was delighted at that point. We didn’t realize there would be so much more to come.” Valle Said.
And much more was to come, starting with the 2023 BRICC and PRISM awards. These two bi-annual competitions recognize the best projects and people in the construction industry. The first focuses on the Cape while the second includes the entire greater Boston area. Between the two, the Valle Group netted a total of 10 individual awards including Best Home Renovation over $1m and Best Kitchen Renovation Under $100k plus the Gold award for their work on Megansett Crossing, a new workforce housing development in Falmouth. Valle says that as strong supporters of affordable housing this particular award was especially gratifying.
It wasn’t just their construction projects that were recognized with awards. Valle’s staff swept the Gold with three of their employees being named Project Manager of the Year, Best Site Supervisor and Industry rising star.
On the heels of the awards ceremonies, Valle received word that the editors of Boston Home Magazine had selected The Valle Group as “Best Custom Home Builder” (South) and that the firm had also been voted into the top 3 position in the ‘Best of Upper Cape’ reader survey in the Best Home Builder category.
In late November Valle was notified that one of its High Performance Construction projects had won a prestigious National award: “Best Source Zero House” from the Passive House Institute of the United States ( a non-profit organization considered to be the official standard-setter for Passive building in the United States.) Though The Valle Group had long been recognized as a pioneer in sustainable construction, having built the first certified Passive House on Cape Cod back in 2012, this marked the company’s first National award.
“I know that my parents, Joe and Joan are as honored as I am to know that the company they started 27 years ago continues to build on its reputation for quality and integrity here on Cape Cod and beyond. While our primary goal is always to satisfy our clients first and foremost, It is gratifying to have our company’s commitment to excellence recognized by our Industry peers and the general public. All credit is due to the hard work and talent of each of the members of our team, all of whom put their talent, heart, and soul into each and every project.” Valle said.
